Tron (TRX) Foundation Launches TronGrid 2.0; Here’s everything you need to know


Tron (TRX) Mainnet was launched last year. Since then the foundation has provided endless opportunities for developers to create on the network. TronGrid is one of most innovative development which was relaunched as TronGrid 2.0 with latest upgrade recently right after the mainnet upgradation to version 3.5.

There are various updated useful features for TronGrid 2.0. TronGrid enables developers to build on the blockchain by giving operational full nodes across the globe and APIs into the Tron network. It helps developers to run a full node without much difficulty. The later used more complex and expensive hardware, having suitable bandwidth and time to maintain and/or secure data. TronGrid gives an alternative which is free of charge and fully equipped with developer tools to make DApp development easier and cheaper.

Francesco Sullo, Tech Lead of Dev Tools at TRON, explained,

“I was working on Ethereum when Infura first came out. From the get-go, I knew that Infura was a necessary tool and a game changer. When I was designing TronGrid v2, I kept that vision in mind, striving to build a faster, more reliable service.”


The time taken to respond to query events reduced tremendously with the innovation of version 2.0. According to sources the Tron Foundation’s overall up-time is 99.99%. Also, it is made available to more developers across the world. 

Yue Fang, Product Manager at TRON, explained how important is speed on TronGrid.

“We have seen a lot of development efforts on TronGrid over the last few months. From a performance perspective, but more importantly, a documentation perspective. TronGrid has quickly become one of our preferred TRON blockchain interaction methods.”
