Hbus, the operator of US based major crypto exchange launched three trading pairs for XRP. The news was announced by leading media mogul Cointelegraph

Per the announcement, the three trading pairs are USD-XRP, Bitcoin (BTC)-XRP, and Tether (USDT)-XRP. XRP deposits will open at  12:00 a.m. PST today, whereas trading and withdrawals for the three pairs will go live tomorrow, April 19, at 12:00 a.m. PST. According to Hbus CEO Frank Fu, XRP is the platform’s 20th listed digital asset, bringing’s total trading pairs up to 51.

The press release mentions that XRP is a strong coin with great utility and trade volume. 

At press time, XRP is  trading at $0.335811 and has a market cap of roughly $14.2 billion, according to CoinMarketFeed data. marketplace was initially  launched under the name of Hbus in June 2018. Trading services on the U.S. platform went live in July 2018. In January San Francisco-based operator, Hbus, rebranded the Hbus exchange to is ranked 183rd crypto exchange globally, seeing roughly $90,000 in trades over the past 24 hours.

XRP was  listed  after a lot of speculation on the professional trading arm of major U.S. crypto exchange and wallet provider Coinbase. Coinbase Pro, the advanced offering of crypto trading platform and wallet service for Coinbase is all set to add support for Ripple’s XRP token. 

Full trading for the digital asset was made available to  customers in U.S, Canada, United Kingdom, Singapore, Australia. The leading exchange may expand its services to other countries later. 

The addition of XRP to Coinbase was long-awaited by the crypto community. In January 2018 rumours were rife regarding the exchange supporting it short term, to which Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong invalidated all rumours. Interestingly, analysts noted that following his announcement market cap of XRP plummeted from over $148 billion to $126 billion.

Coinbase Pro has actively expanding its the list of tokens being supported on the platform over the past months. The August of 2018 saw Basic Attention Token (BAT), privacy oriented altcoin Zcash (ZEC) and Ethereum Classic (ETC) being listed. Later, the support for tokens was expanded to Coinbase’s mobile app and retail platform.
